Ildikó Péter (1982, Budapest) graduated at Sorbonne, Paris with DEUG d'Arts Plastiques in 2002, followed by an MA in Photography and Visual Communication at MOME, Budapest in 2007. She has since participated in many exhibitions across Europe. Awards: André Kertész Prize, Lucien Hervé Prize, European Photography Exhibition Award, and Pécsi József Scholarship. She has lived and worked in Turkey, France and Germany. The main subject of her work is the analysis of the urban space, the city as a cold, lifeless structure that provides the frame for man’s life. Her works are documentarist studies in history, sociology, town planning and environment protection, with scenes that are devoid of humans.  She works with traditional large and medium format cameras on film.
